A lot of breakdown calls at other countries are often due to faulty batteries. And so Tyre&Auto Southbourne Group wants you to be responsible for keeping the good condition of your car battery all the time. Facing some problems in your car? Such as engine’s not starting and headlights are not turning on? It is possible that you need to buy a new battery or alternator. Tyre&Auto Southbourne Group prepared some tips to help you check your car battery properly, but remember that the following is done using a voltmeter. The first thing you need to do is turn off the ignition then second, remove the battery’s positive terminal cover and don’t forget to clean and check the battery terminals. Tyre&Auto’s third step is to connect the positive lead of the voltmeter, which is colored red, to the positive terminal on the battery. Do this as well to the negative lead of the voltmeter and put it on the negative terminal on the battery. And the last thing you need to do is check the readings on the voltmeter. You can tell that the battery is in fine shape if the voltage is between 12.4 – 12.7 volts but if it reaches 12.4 volts, you need to charge the battery or do a “trickle charge”/slow charge if it is lower than 12.2 volts. Turn on the high beams to remove the excessive voltage, note that over voltage is more than 12.9 volts. Over voltage is also a sign that the alternator is overcharging the battery. Tyre&Auto Southbourne Group reviews based on customer satisfaction always ready to address and answer your inquiries about your car, especially about batteries since they have enough stock that could fit many types of car and light commercial vehicles.
